March 20 marks a new season: SPRING. In the last couple of days, I’m sure we have felt the joy that came from the feeling that it was finally here in the Mid-Ohio Valley. The sunshine has been beautiful and the warmer weather is welcoming. I am going to review a couple of great places for the family/kids to go. So get ready, grab your calendar, and let’s make a few plans!
One of my all-time favorite places is The River Trail in Marietta, Ohio. Over the years, this trail has grown. What used to run from the Indian Acre Boat Ramp to Putnam Street Bridge in 2005 has grown a lot since then. It now runs from Indian Acre Boat Ramp to Jefferson Street behind Kmart. This is a great walking or biking trail for all ages. It is a must-see, and what better way to create good habits and memories? While there, why not enjoy the beauty of the river?
How about a special outing for our furry friends at the Dog Park? The Dog Park is located at 1201 Cisler Drive, Marietta, Ohio. Here you can take your furry family members to exercise and to play in an open space. It is a park no dog owner should miss!
All you skateboarders out there must check out the Skate Park in Marietta, Ohio, located at the Indian Acres Park. This place is obviously a fun and happening place. It is a must see for all skateboard lovers.
Last is Belpre City Park, which is a favorite of mine and my kiddos. We can take a nice stroll on the walking trail, have a picnic on the picnic tables, or play at the park. For the fishermen in the area, this place is a great place to fish. We’ve already made some great memories there, and this is only our second year living in Belpre. So I definitely recommend that you check it out and make some memories of your own.
What is your favorite place to go and hang out with your family? If it is one of the places above, how often to you visit these places? I hope with the weather warming up, you get to take the time to visit these places and enjoy living in the Mid-Ohio Valley.
