Submission guidelines
Article Queries
We are looking for writers that wish to cover local events and interviews with local businesses. If you are interested, please submit 2 samples of your work as an e-mail attachment and a query. Queries should include an outline of the article. Please include your highlights who you plan on interviewing, and any other significant information pertaining to the article. Microsoft Word documents are preferred. Send queries to: Freelance@mariettaandbeyond.com. After 3 accepted articles you will be put on our preferred writers list.

Rates
Marietta and Beyond is a paying venue. Please contact us for more information. All work submitted by the author must have all facts verified and must be the original property of the writer. We prefer that the article not appear in another publication for 1 year after the publication of the article in on the website and/or print edition of Marietta and Beyond.
Photography/Illustration Guidelines
Freelance photography is used in our print and digital editions of the magazine. Soft focus images will not be considered. At this time we are looking for photos of local MOV events, cover art & photography, and images to accompany articles. Specific photos or art to accompany articles will be assigned to those on our preferred list.
To query please send a link to your portfolio or 2-3 low-resolution photos can be sent via e-mail.
Accepted photos must be 300 dpi.

Illustrations Guidelines
Will be considered in both our print and digital editions of the magazine. To query please send a link to your portfolio or 3-4 low resolution photos can be sent via e-mail. Illustrations will be on assignment only.
Payment Schedule
Marietta and Beyond pays photographer and illustrator contributions 30-60 days after publication of article. Send queries to:

SPECIAL NOTE
Photographers
Marietta and Beyond will be changing out our FB photo every month with the best photo taken by one of our followers.
The selected photo will be up on our fb page for the month. Your name and an fb or website link will be added to our comments and a write up on you with your photo will be put on our website.
