Membership in the organization consists of industry, technical and consulting firms that are focused on the exploration for and distribution of natural gas and oil in the state of Ohio. It’s a great place to gain insight into how and what the industry wants you to know.
This non-profit is a great source for educational information, that is factually sound, easy to understand and focused on educating teachers, students and the public about gas and oil exploration in the Ohio Valley. It’s funded by the state oil and gas industry through an assessment on the production of all crude oil and natural gas products in Ohio.
The Ohio Environmental Council is a relative veteran to the idea of environmental stewardship in Ohio, having been established in 1969. It is billed as one of the most comprehensive and respected advocates for the environmental health and well-being of Ohio. Active in industry, politics and community outreach, this community resource can be a great source of information about the potential benefits and drawbacks of oil and gas exploration in the Ohio River Valley.
