Whether you’re visiting from out of town and searching for a day of fun, or are a local looking to visit some old haunts, here are a few of our favorite places to go in Marietta.
If you’re looking for some great burgers, refreshing drinks and some of the best views in the town, head down to 167 Front Street and check out Marietta Brewing Company. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the food choices range from the fan-favorite of Roasted Crab Crostini to their signature Buffalo Baby Pizza and everything in between. They even have a great selection of salads for those wishing to have a healthier, lighter meal. It’s a great place to grab a bite to eat, spend some time with friends and have a few drinks.
Just in case you thought dining in Marietta was all about burgers and beer, this little place is out to prove you wrong. The Star of India Restaurant, located at 123 Greene Street in Marietta, Ohio, offers authentic Indian cuisine at prices that cannot be matched. There you’ll be able to find a few vegetarian favorites like paneer masala, and maharani dal, as well as selections for the carnivores in your group like lamb vindaloo and makhni chicken. Of course, if you’re looking to get a little art into your life, a great place to check out is the Riverside Artist Gallery. Located at 219 2nd Street in Marietta, this place always seems to have great artists, fun events like the Zen Garden Party and classes like how to do copper embossing. Trust me, if you’re an artist, you’ll seriously consider getting a membership!
Of course, with all the great things going on around town, you are going to need a place to relax and possibly catch some shuteye. Why not do it in style? The Lafayette Hotel not only offers some luxurious rooms, but also boasts a wide array of things to do including a Rooftop Bar starting in June, and the Marietta River Front Roar in July.
